
The Greek Ambassador to the United States in Washington, Her Excellency Aikaterini Nasika, visited Tampa, Florida, on Thursday, November 6, where she met with representatives of local Greek organizations and members of the Panhellenic Federation of Florida. The visit marked an important moment of connection between Greece and the vibrant Greek-American community of the area. The Mayor of Tarpon Springs John Koulianos presented the Key to the City. Ambassador Nasika expressed heartfelt gratitude for the gesture. Tarpon Springs, is often called “America’s Greek Village”.
The Panhellenic Federation of Florida through the president Yiota Frangedis, extended its gratitude to Ambassador Nasika for her presence, and her dedication to deepening the relationship between Greece and the Greek diaspora in the United States. Representatives from several Greek organizations and community leaders attended the event. Discussions focused on ways to expand cultural, educational, and business exchanges.
The ambassador’s visit was a reminder that, though oceans separate Greece from its expatriates, the spirit of Hellenism continues to thrive

The Panhellenic Federation of Florida held the raising of the Flag ceremony in honor of October 28th, 1940 (OXI Day) after the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, October 26th, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Clearwater. We were honored with his presence by the lieutenant colonel Vasilis Sekas, a special forces officer and envoy of Greece at Macdill Airport, Florida, who laid a wreath for our fallen Greek ancestors.
Many Greeks and Greek-Americans attended the liturgy, and at the end, we all reverently sang “Ti Ypermacho Stratigo”, in an atmosphere of deep faith and national pride. Finally, we wished Father Jim a Happy Name Day!
Thank you to all who attended this ceremony to honor those who fought for our Freedom in WWII, and especially for those who fought to repel the invaders of Greece on October 28, 1940.

The Fedration gave five $40 awards to the 5 graduates at Holy Trinity Greek School and $40 award to the 1 graduate at St. Nicholas Greek School and participated to the Holy Trinity Greek Festival showcasing the PanHellenic Federation on October 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2025

The RGB Robotics Team from Kilkis (Robotics competition in Daytona, Florida, June 23rd through 29th) won the first prize. The Federation donated $500 and advertised them on our radio program for financial support.

Yiota Frangedis participated in the 15th General Assembly of the World Hellenic Inter-Parliamentary Association in July 21, in Athens, Greece. With Deputy Minister of External Affairs Gianni Loverdo, State Senator of Rhode Island USA Leonidas Raptakis, Board Members of Plato Academy Luis Kokkinakos and John Petalas, Greek Journalist Giannis Moutsios and other dignitaries tonight at thewelcome dinner for the World Hellenic Interparliamentary Association in Glyfada.Panhellenic Federation of Florida was represented by the president Giota Argyropoulou Frangedis.

On Monday July 14,the Secretary General for Public Diplomacy and Greeks Abroad, Maira Myrogianni, hosted the President of the Panhellenic Federation of Florida Giota Argyropoulou Frangedis at her office in Athens, for a discussion on important issues to the Greek American community, such as the plan for public diplomacy prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an annual seminar for training foreign journalists, webinars on tax, insurance, and banking issues for Greeks abroad. The president of the Federation emphasized that there is concern among the Greeks in Florida and USA, about the continuous flows of illegal immigrants to Crete and the islands of Greece and also asked for support from the Greek Gonernment for young families to have more children, as a plan to combat Greece's demographic problem. The President of the Panhellenic Federation thanked Mrs. Myrogianni for her time and for her continuous interest for the Greeks abroad.

The Panhellenic Federation of Florida was represented by our Secretary Vassiliki Mandelos at the 40th Annual PSEKA Conference in Washington D.C on Junbe 10-12 2025. The conference brought together in Washington, DC Greek American leaders from AHEPA, AHI, Cyprus-US Chamber of Commerce, FCAO, the Chios Federations of America and Canada and others to hear from 35 of our country’s most significant members of Congress and Senators, as well as high level officials in the Trump Administration.

Sunday, May 25, 2025, the Panhellenic Federation of Florida held a memorial service at Saints Raphael, Nicholas & Irene Greek Orthodox Church in honor of the victims of the Pontic Genocide.
After the service, our VP, Nektarios Kapetanakos, delivered a heartfelt speech commemorating the victims. We were also honored by the presence of the Senator of Rhode Island, Leonidas Raptakis, who shared a powerful message and presented a Senate Resolution officially proclaiming May 19, 2025, as Greek and Pontic Genocide Remembrance Day in Rhode Island.

The Panhellenic Federation of Florida - Annual Conventionheld on Saturday May 5, 2025 , at the Macedonian Society “Alexander the Great” on Drew st. Thank you to all the representatives of the local Greek organisations who participated in our meeting.
It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas and find new ways of uniting the Greek American community in Tampa Bay area. We shared the actions of the Federation in the past year, our live Radio Program every Wednesday at 4 pm at 106.1 FM and informed our members about all the news from rhe Greek Government for the Greeks abroad.

The Panhellenic Federation of Florida, along with representatives of our local Greek associations met with the General Secretary for Greeks Abroad on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at noon at the Macedonian House on Drew Street in Clearwater. GREEK FESTIVAL 2024 AT HOLY TRINITY CHURCH
The Panhellenic Federation of Florida participated to the annual Greek Festival hoisted by the Holy Trinity church in Clearwater.
We connected with the Community and shared our planned activities, our radio station program details and our plans for promoting Hellenism.

The PanHellenic Federation of Florida elections took place at the Macedonian Society's House. Congratulations to our new president Yiota Argyropoulou Frangedis and our Executive Committee members. Our past President Mr. Nick Anton will continue to support our future endeavors as Vice President.
Executive Board:

The PanHellenic Federation of Florida took another voluntary action on Saturday, March 30th, with a cleanup of Florida Avenue in Tarpon Springs. Members of the federation gathered in the morning and cleaned both sides of the road for approximately one mile, including the area outside the local school.
Volunteer activities will continue.

The PanHellenic Federation of Florida donated to the AHEPA Journey to Greece Program on Saturday, January 27 in Palm Harbor Florida.
The donation was made to AHEPA Supreme President Savas Tsivicos, Supreme Treasurer Demetrios Kirkiles, and Executive Director Basil Mossaidis by Yiota Frangedis, Vice President, and Vasiliki Mandelos, General Secretary, of the PanHellenic Federation of Florida on the sidelines of the PanCyprian Association of Florida's Annual Person of the Year award banquet, where the Order of AHEPA and the AHEPA Supreme President were recognized and honored by the PanCyprian Association for their ongoing work to help end the Turkish occupation of Cyprus.
Some other individuals including AHEPA Citrus District 2 Governor Jimmy Makris and members of the PanHellenic Federation of Florida's Hellenic Affairs committee were also present at this event.
